As an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be working with a leading Australian owned and operated communications company, working with tier 1 mining clients in Western Australia. They build, supply, install, maintain, and service their equipment, designing tailored solutions for their clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to get involved in the entire process, from design through to commissioning and deployment. You will need to understand client requirements and build good working relationships.

Your new role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your main responsibility will be to design, develop, and test electrical systems, equipment, and components. You will utilise your expertise in electrical engineering principles, mathematical modelling, and computer simulations to create innovative solutions for complex electrical problems. Additionally, you will review documentation and drawings to ensure that electrical systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with Australian and client standards. In this role, you will also lead a team of project electrical engineers and assist in delivering project design deliverables. You will be working closely with the design team, working collaboratively to bring the team together to ensure a cohesive and supportive working environment.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including estimating project costs, ensuring compliance with electrical standards, designing and testing electrical equipment, supervising installations and maintenance, analysing systems for improvements, writing reports and manuals. You will oversee tests and resolve technical issues, collaborate with team members and stakeholders, and stay up to date with advancements in electrical engineering. As an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work well in a team, and you will have a thorough understanding of electrical safety regulations and standards.

What you'll need to succeed

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior or Lead Electrical Engineer to join an established and flourishing company here in Western Australia.

• Must have previous Australian Mining experience
• Must have experience in LV and renewable and hybrid power systems
• Possess a current C-Class Driving Licence
• Experience with design software - AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Hold a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with basic knowledge of wireless infrastructure design and construction
• Must have previous experience in a senior or lead position
• Must have solar and battery understanding and DC power systems
• Must have Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards
